RealWorld Cursor Editor is a great little program created by RealWorld Graphics. Cursor Editor does what its name says – it allows you to edit and create new cursors for your Windows OS. This program supports from Windows 2000 to the recently-released Windows 7. The first thing you will see in the application is an online help section where you can create an account and receive tutorials and support. There is also an off-line help file in case you are not connected.
Cursor Editor will find your current cursors and will allow you to edit them, no matter if they are animated or not. You can also create a cursor from scratch, and here is where the program shines. You can use any image you already have as a basis for your new cursor, be it static or animated. The program’s raster functionalities will prepare your images to fit its specifications. Cursor Editor includes a very nice image editor, with easily accessible tools and features, such as layer support. These tools are usually found in more advanced image-editing applications, and they include brushes, lasso, and filters. Besides, it is free.
